Well, the titles says it all; I'm sick, and getting worse. My daughter is also sick, and is very uncomfortable. I've been working, working, and working on new art, and am not surprised that I'm now sick due in some part to lack of proper rest. Mustering the creative energy to come up with new paintings, sketches, and ideas is definitely a challenge when dealing with a runny nose and a sore throat. I have tea and honey, and some lemon drops. It has to be lemon flavor for me. I'm sure many artists throughout the history of time have had to battle through a tough cold while painting. I know that Norman Rockwell once had to be dragged out of his studio by his wife and forced to get some rest. So, I suppose, one has to know when it is just better to hang up the brushes for a short spell, rather than ruining a good painting or idea. Luckily, there's time enough tomorrow to finish what can't be finished today...
